An exhibition including 17 local artists will assist in celebrating the 2nd birthday of Webb’s Gallery. Titled “2290, celebrating the beauty of the East Coast” this show has a broad range of subject matter and styles.
With painterly detail Libby Cusick uses visual elements to capture the lake. The layered process produces spectacular highlights and harmony.
Melissa Baldwin describes Glenrock quickly and accurately with painted gesture. These small works seize the light and arrest one moment serenely.
Using nature as the visual edict is Robyn Cullen. Her handmade paper adorned with stitches and painted image defines her chosen subject matter with textural appeal.
Realism features strongly in this exhibition catching the water surrounding 2290 with abundant ease. It is also wonderful to find elegant prints and of course the array of fine, tempting jewellery that is always available in this gallery.
2290 is on exhibition at Webb’s Gallery until 4th October.
